If you’ve ever visited Mexico, you’ve certainly seen mangonadas, which are vivid yellow and red drinks topped with mango, chamoy, and Tajin seasoning. Chomis Gomis will share our favorite recipe so you can make them right at home!
Mangonadas are made with mangos, limes, water, sugar, ice, topped with cubed mangoes, Chomis Gomis chamoy, and tajin chili powder for a spicy kick. The texture is comparable to that of a smoothie, and the flavors are sweet, salty, sour, savory, and spicy.
Show off at your next family party and make everyone some drinks!
Ingredients
- 2 large limes
- 2 lbs. frozen mangoes
- 2-3 cups water
- ¼ cup cane sugar
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 2 fresh mangoes, cubed
- ½ cup Chomis Gomis Rim Dip Chamoy
- 2-4 tbsp Tajin chile powder
Instructions
Prepare the garnishes by de-seeding and cutting the fresh mangoes into cubes. Place Tajin in one shallow bowl and choose your favorite Chomis Gomis Chamoy Rim Dip.
Squeeze the 2 limes into a blender. Then, slowly add the frozen mango chunks, water, cane sugar, and ice. Keep blending it until you achieve a smooth consistency using the high power setting.
Next, grab your glass and drip the rim into Chomis Gomis Chamoy Rim Dip followed by Tajin. Genoursly apply chamoy to the bottom of the glass and around the sides.
While pouring the frozen mango mixture, add more chamoy as you go and then top it off with fresh mango cubes. Garnish with more Chomis Gomis Chamoy, a sprinkle of Tajin. Now Enjoy!!
